The winners of the Fantasy Nail Art Competition
Beauty students from Hopwood Hall College created fantasy fingernails in a competition on 3D nails.
The young women who are studying for a Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technologies were tasked with decorating two nails in spectacular fashion; one should be suitable to wear and the other should be a fantasy nail.
The fantasy nail didn’t need to be wearable; it just had to simply show off the extent of the student’s skills.
Sixteen students took part in the competition and all of them thoroughly enjoyed it, setting to work on creating weird and wonderful nail art.
Their tutor Chris Coluccio, who organised the competition said: “The students worked exceptionally well and the standard was very high.”
Maria Allman the Curriculum Manager for Hair & Beauty was given the tough job of judging the entries.
The winner of the top prize was announced as Kayleigh Bond who is 20 years old and from Rochdale. Ms Bond received a prize of bath salts from Mrs Allman. The runners up were Carla Gates in second place, Jenna Mills in third place and Jennifer Good in fourth place.
