The calm start to the term has continued. We are thoroughly enjoying the expertise of our Spanish visitor across both key stages. This will continue for a further two weeks so children will be learning a few Spanish words.
The children are building up to the Music Festival which is taking place in late February, early March. Parents will be given exact dates, times and venues later on.
We have had a few enquiries about the billing for music lessons when the lesson does not take place due to teacher illness. Mrs Theobold calculates the bills for each half term in advance. If the lesson does not take place the adjustment is made on the following bill. This is quite complicated, but Mrs Theobold monitors the lessons to ensure that the bill is accurate. If you have any queries about your bill, please let us know.
Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award by Miss Pearce last Friday. Miss Pearce has now gone back to complete her teacher training at Manchester University. We are sure she will be very successful.

We have been selected as one of the first schools to receive the Be Child Cancer Aware card. Whilst the card is not designed to frighten anyone, its important that parents are made aware of the signs. Therefore this week you should have received a small coloured card which could potentially save your child’s life or the life of a child you know (the same way information was circulated out about meningitis signs and symptoms).
