New bus service for Castleton

A new bus service will be introduced in Castleton at the end of the month.

Coach Masters are commencing a new 431 service on Monday 31 January.

This is a circular service linking Castleton to Belfield via Queensway, Deeplish, Rochdale Train Station, Bus Station, Entwistle Rd, calling at the new NHS Health Centre at Belfield, Stanneybrook and Howarth Cross then returning into Rochdale and back to Castleton via the same route.

The bus will take the following route:

Rochdale Bus Station, via Smith St, Entwisle Rd, Belfield Rd, Croxton Avenue, Bellfield Rd, Reservoir St, Albert Royds St, Halifax Rd, Hamer Lane, Belfield Road, Entwisle Rd, Smith St, Bus Station, Smith Street, Molesworth St, Wood St, Oldham Rd, Durham St, Miall St, Milkstone Rd, Station Rd, Richard St, Lincoln St, Miall St, Milkstone Rd, Well Ith Lane, Queensway, Manchester Rd, Vicarage Rd North, Leander Drive, Albion St, Queensway, Well Ith Lane, Milkstone Rd, Station Rd, Richard St, Lincoln St, Durham St, Oldham Rd, Wood St, Molesworth St, Smith St to Rochdale Bus Station.

The 431 is not a replacement of the 442 which will finish at the end of the month (31 January) the start of the new service and the end of the 442 is just a coincidence.
