Three taken to hospital following collision

Three people were taken to hospital last night (Monday 15 November 2010) after the car they were in collided with a tree in Middleton.
The crash happened at 11.00pm on Heywood Old Road in Rhodes, Middleton.
Fire-fighters from Blackley fire station attended the scene. On arrival one man had managed to free himself from the car.
A 12-year-old boy and a woman were cut free by the fire service. All three were taken to hospital by ambulance.
