Date published: 29 August 2010

Police in Rochdale are appealing for help in tracing a man who went missing on Friday, (27 August 2010).

Gary Taylor, 40, was last seen leaving his house on Bishopsgate Walk, Rochdale, when he got into a taxi.

It is believed he was dropped off at Holland Street, Rochdale, at about 1.30pm on Friday.

Mr Taylor is described as white, with a medium build, short brown hair. He wears glasses and speaks with a North East accent. When last seen he was wearing a brown polo T-shirt, blue jeans and white trainers.

Police are growing concerned for Mr Taylor's welfare as nobody has heard from him in the last three days and his disappearance is out of character.

Detective Rich Shelton of Rochdale CID, said: "Gary's family are understandably very worried now and we are doing all we can to find him.

"If anyone has seen Gary, or knows of his whereabouts, I would ask them to get in touch."

Anyone with information on Gary's whereabouts is asked to call police on 0161 856 4557 or 0161 872 5050.
