23-year-old man arrested on suspicion of Heywood murder

Detectives investigating the murder of Lee Pickles in Heywood have arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
The 23-year-old from Middleton was arrested this afternoon, Wednesday 7 June 2006, and will be interviewed by detectives.
At approximately 1am on Saturday 3 June 2006 police were called to Walton Close where Lee Pickles (born 05/02/69) of High Street in Heywood had been stabbed. He was taken to Fairfield Hospital suffering from a stab wound to his chest and died on the night of Saturday 3 June 2006.
