Middleton curate to be made deacon
Date published: 25 June 2010
Pauline Edna Jones will be ordained as deacon at 12.00pm this Sunday (27 June) at Manchester Cathedral.
Ms Jones will serve at All Saints and Martyrs, Langley with the Rev. Canon Philip Miller.
Ms Jones is one of 18 curates to be ordained who has trained on the Southern North West Training Partnership (SNWTP).
The Bishop of Manchester, the Rt Revd Nigel McCulloch, said: “Manchester is a city with a strong tradition of ordaining committed men and women who will serve in our diverse communities. Ordination recognises and celebrates the exciting way God is at work in his church, calling men and women to serve him in new and surprising ways.”
