Littleborough Resident has lunch with the Duke of Kent

Littleborough Resident and chairwoman of the NSPCC Rochdake Branch, Lis Kay, was one of the guests at a Fund Raising Luncheon attended by the Duke of Kent, in aid of the Fusiliers Museum, Bury on Thursday 25 May 2006.
The luncheon was held at the Town Hall and was attended by around 200 guests including the Mayor of Bury, the Colonel of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, Brigadier Roy Wilde, the Deputy Colonel (Lancashire) the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, Colonel Brian Gorski and the Lord Lieutenant and High Sheriff of Greater Manchester.
The Duke of Kent is Colonel in Chief of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers and holds a great interest in the creation of this new museum. It’s hoped that his presence at this special luncheon will create more awareness towards this important project.
