Three people arrested in connection with death of David Taylor

Officers have carried out search warrants at five addresses across Greater Manchester and arrested three people in connection with the death of a 24-year-old student who died after being in collision with a car in Heywood.

A 53-year-old man, a 28-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The 17-year-old has since been released without charge. The 28-year-old has been bailed until September 2006.

The 53-year-old man remains in custody for questioning.

David James Taylor (born 28/05/82) of Bury Old Road, Heywood died on Tuesday 27 June 2006 following the collision on Monday 26 June 2006.

Police are continuing to appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them on 0161 856 8510 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

UPDATE - 6 JULY

Two of the people who were arrested on Wednesday 5 July 2006 in connection with the death of David Taylor from Heywood following a road traffic collision on Monday 26 June 2006 have been released on bail.

A 53-year-old man and 28-year-old woman, who were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, have been bailed until 5 September 2005.

A 17-year-old girl has been released without charge.
