Man charged after stabbing on Redcar Street

A 38-year-old man has been charged following an incident in Rochdale.
Christopher O'Sullivan (born 02/06/68) of Redcar Street in Falinge was charged with Section 18 assault and affray in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 3 October 2006.
He appeared at Rochdale Magistrates' Court this morning.
Shortly after 1.10am, Monday 2 October 2006, police in Rochdale were called to a house on Redcar Street in Falinge following reports that a 34-year-old man had been stabbed.
He was taken to the Rochdale Infirmary with wounds to his head and body. He remains in a poorly but stable condition.
UPDATE
A 31-year-old man from Heywood has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault and is currently being questioned by detectives.

A second man has been charged following an incident in Rochdale on Monday 2 October 2006.
Sean O'Sullivan (born 19/11/74) of Emott Close in Heywood has today, Tuesday 3 October 2006, been charged with two counts of Section 47 assault and one count of affray. He will appear at Rochdale Magistrates' Court on Friday 6 October 2006.
