Date published: 31 March 2010
A woman was assaulted and had her bag stolen in Rochdale.
At 7pm on Monday 29 March 2010, the 43-year-old victim was walking to the shop when the offender grabbed her bag and dragged her to the floor on Dewhurst Road, Syke.
The man was white, in his 20s and around 5ft 8ins tall. He had a medium build, spots on his chin, wore a black hooded top, and had dark jeans.
The bag is particularly distinctive and should be easily recognisable. The front is dark brown with press studs on the front, along with a logo of a woman. The back of the bag was green with pink bows.
Inside the bag was a lilac coloured Samsung S5600 mobile phone and a passport in a pink holder.
Detective Sergeant Sam Halligan said: “This bag is very noticeable, so someone must have seen it.
"Maybe somebody has tried to sell you a bag or a mobile matching the descriptions above. You may have seen somebody looking suspicious on Dewhurst Road on Monday.
"If you have any information that you think can help our investigation, please get in touch."
