Redwood School

Date published: 31 March 2010

Like most people connected with Redwood School, we cannot believe how quickly the time is going! We will finish for the Easter break on Thursday 1 April – this term continues to see the school further develop in lots of exciting ways with many new initiatives in place. Key Stage 3 pupils have taken part in a two day curriculum theme which has involved a variety of activities. This has included enterprise sessions washing staff cars.

Key Stage 4 have had a camera crew in school to produce a short training film on behalf of the Local Authority interviewing pupils and staff on the role of enterprise education in the department. Watch this space.

Key stage 4 girls groups were visited by Humaria from Key stage 3 who threaded Jalessa and Debra’s eyebrows. Threading is an ancient method of hair removal which originated in Persia, it is continued in India and other countries. Thanks to Humaria for sharing this practice.

Post 16 students have excellent ideas to further develop the entrance of the school with additional mosaic patterns.

Sports Relief – many thanks for supporting the activities last week. All the pupils participated in our session on Friday by completing hundreds of laps of the yard and school field.

School reopens on Monday 19 April at 8.50am. Happy Easter and enjoy the break.
