Healey Primary School
Please don’t forget the clocks go forward on Sunday 28 March. We are focusing on attendance and punctuality at the moment so please double check watches on Monday morning. We held a late stop this week and there are more planned for next term.
Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last Friday:
- Reception Ved Keshe
- Year 1 Ella Hill
- Year 2 Lauren McHale
- Year 3 Finlay Hunter
- Year 4 Ellie Reader
- Year 5 Charlotte Brook
- Year 6 Kieren Patel
We also presented the 100% Attendance Cup for the first time this term to a triumphant Year 6.
Parents are reminded that all bills MUST be settled before the end of term to allow the accounts to be signed off. This is particularly with regards to music invoices which should have been paid by 19 March, and the Out of School Clubs.
Reception Class are pleased to report that Bruno, Gill and Christine, the chicks are growing up fast, they already have proper feathers and are happily singing away all day. They will be missed when they go back to the farm on Thursday.
The Music Festival is now over, we entered more classes than ever before this year with several honours awarded in various classes. There will be an opportunity to see some of the performances at the May Tea in the new term.
Next week is the last week of this term. On Tuesday there is a shared meeting with Shawclough School Council. On Wednesday Year 6 are taking part in Rochdale Sings at the Town Hall, tickets are available (01706 750288) to be sent out. We do not have tickets in school. Healey Year 6 are taking part in the afternoon concert. Reception children are performing their Easter play on Wednesday afternoon also. Year 5 are walking down to Falinge Park High School for a Science lesson on Light on Wednesday afternoon too.
