Victory for Cronkeyshaw residents
Date published: 23 March 2010
Residents living close to Cronkeyshaw Common have been delighted to hear that the common will no longer be used for events such as circuses and fairs.
The use of the common for such events has long been contentious, with residents complaining of noise, rubbish and the general state of the Common after such events; the Common has often been left in a very poor state because of use by heavy vehicles.
The decision was taken at the recent Rochdale Township meeting.
