Arson attack in Smallbridge
Date published: 20 March 2010
Fire fighters were called to Step Meadows, Smallbridge after arsonists set fire to plastic fencing.
An appliance from Littleborough fire station attended.
Residents said: "Contractors left the fencing piled up on Friday when they went home and it seems somebody could not resist setting fire to it."
Another added: "The fencing was made from recycled polystyrene that was supposed to be fireproof/damage proof and last forever, but it didn't take long for it to be wrecked."
