Redwood School
The next meeting of Parents in Partnership will be held in conjunction with the Parent ASD group on Friday 26 March at 9.30. Rebecca Nolan—Parent Developmental Officer will be at the meeting to provide an overview on Parenting Courses that are available to everyone.
You may remember that the company who runs our catering and cleaning etc has recently changed. The new company Grosvenor House, has now requested that if you make payment by cheque for dinner money the cheque should now be made payable to GHFM Ltd. If you have any queries relating to dinner money please contact Pam in reception—Thank you
Attendance -The attendance last week was 92.7%
Tesco Computer Vouchers for Schools— We are collecting Tesco vouchers again. Please send your vouchers into school—thank you!
Key stage 4 news - The Mayor came into school last week to see the new Enterprise room and to pick up some flyers that he’d had printed. Last Wednesday was World Book Day. Mr. Barnes and Mr Owen’s classes are studying the Gruffalo. Mr. Barnes’s class watched the film then read the book , the then recorded their own version of it. Mr. Alcocks class went into the SEB group and read the Gingerbread Man to the class. After reading the book, they all baked gingerbread men and painted some pictures. 4U enjoyed another trip to Spotland Library. The library staff always welcome 4U with open arms and the students always enjoy themselves. The coffee morning for Springhill Hospice was great success and everyone enjoyed a brew and a slice of cake.
We have a great new after school club starting - Choir this will be a great way for pupil’s to get together and have fun singing some of their favourite songs. If you think your son/daughter would be interested in joining please ring Nicola – Home / School Link Worker.
