Blackstone Edge ablaze
Two square miles of moorland is on fire above Littleborough tonight.
Fire fighters have been battling to control the fire for over two hours.
Our reporter has been at the scene on Blackstone Edge and reports seeing the moors on fire as far as he could see, reaching from The Moorcock up to the White House Pub on Blackstone Edge Road and across and down towards Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge and Todmorden.
The fire brigade have appliances and support vehicles from Rochdale, Chadderton, Littleborough and Todmorden on the moors.
The blaze can been seen from the other side of Rochdale.
