Laura exceeds £550 sponsorship mark
Date published: 28 February 2010

Rochdale Online reporter Laura Wild
Daring Rochdale Online reporter Laura Wild has now passed the £550 sponsorship mark thanks to kind donations made by Rochdale Online readers.
The brave journalist will jump out of a plane from 10,000 feet in a tandem skydive on Sunday 21 March to raise funds for the hospice.
Now, less a few weeks after starting her Everyday Hero donation webpage, she has already raised £560, passing her £395 target, which means she will get to do the jump for free.
Laura said: “Our readers have been tremendously encouraging and supportive because they know what a good cause it is.”
“Lots of local people know of Springhill Hospice and the great things they do. It will be a pleasure to be able to give them my generous sponsorship money.”
“Thank you very much to everyone, let's keep it going!"
