Healey Primary School
The next few weeks will be dominated by the Rochdale Music Festival, and children who are involved should have come home with a letter detailing all arrangements. Parents are welcome to go along and watch any of the performances, all free of charge.
On Monday Year 3 will be walking down to Rochdale CLC at Falinge and on Tuesday Year 5 will be involved in some work about the Dangers of Smoking. The Choir are performing at the Town Hall on Wednesday morning. Thursday is the Year 2 Talented Tinies Brass Group and this is also World Book Day. Book Tokens of £1 have been sent home which can be redeemed on any book purchase of £2.99 and over, or as a swap for World Book Day books in WHSmith and Waterstones. The tokens are valid until 28th March.
Thursday is also Football Tournament morning for the Year 4 team. The children have been selected and will be going along to the Soccer factory with Mr Armstrong and Mr Whelan.
Reception Class have taken delivery of eggs in time for Easter hatching. The eggs are incubating nicely and this has solved the great conundrum as the eggs have arrived before the chickens.
Well done to the children who were presented with Achievement Cups before the half term break:
Reception Paul Marsden
Year 1 Kallim Greenwood
Year 2 Andrew Trevillion
Year 3 Cobey Barrow
Year 4 Josh Hardman
Year 5 Grace Dearden
Year 6 Pasha Riley
Best attendance was Year 1 with 98.7% well done.
Finally, thank you to Sophie, Liberty, Jeska, Ellie, Rebecca, Hannah and Megan who came to school on Monday in Rainbow, Brownie and Guide Uniform to celebrate Thinking Day.
