The big leap for Springhill Hospice

Date published: 22 February 2010

There is less than a month to go before Rochdale Online reporter Laura Wild takes a big leap – in the form of a skydive for Springhill Hospice.

The brave journalist will jump out of a plane from 10,000 feet in a tandem skydive on Sunday 21 March to raise funds for the hospice.

With not long to go, Laura said she a bit nervous about the jump: “I am a little bit apprehensive, but also really excited. I think Springhill Hospice is a great place to raise money for. It is the people’s hospice and means so much to many people within the borough.

As part of the jump, Laura must raise £395 to give to the charity.

“I have raised £345 but I am hoping, with the help of our readers, to raise much more for such a good cause. Please sponsor me to do the jump!”
