Teenager assaulted in Rochdale town centre
Date published: 19 February 2010
At 1:30pm on Saturday 23 January 2010, a 15-year-old was punched by a boy outside Fishwick’s in Rochdale town centre.
The victim suffered a fractured jaw as a result of the attack.
The offender was with a group of around six or seven other boys at the time of the attack.
He is described as Asian, 5ft 10ins, with a slim build and around 15-16 years old. He has black, cropped hair, with a fringe.
The rest of the group were white and around 15-16 years old.
Detective Constable Janice Cruttwell said: “This appears to be a completely unprovoked attack on a young boy.
”The offender was probably showing off in front of his friends, but there is nothing clever about attacking an innocent boy on his own.
”We are going to do everything we can to make sure he doesn’t get away with it. “
