Playtime at Balderstone Park
Date published: 18 February 2010
Balderstone Park play scheme is to be extended. The play scheme will be provided as part of the “Play Pathfinder” scheme which aims to improve and develop play sites in local communities.
There will be an extension of the play facilities available at the park which will improve the park’s facilities.
Local ward councillor Pat Colclough said: “I am so pleased that Balderstone Park is to receive this additional play area. The park is a beautiful area and at the heart of the local community. Residents and visitors from across the Borough and beyond will be able to enjoy these new facilities, which have been thoughtfully designed by architects."
Deputy Leader of the Council, Dale Mulgrew added: “This is absolutely fantastic news and I cannot wait to see the new facility in all its glory. The new play area will be first class in quality and I am sure it will provide enjoyment for children and families across the ward.”
The builders are currently on site and work is expected to commence this week.
