Disturbance in Littleborough

Police are appealing for witnesses following a disturbance in Littleborough on Friday 24 November 2006.
At 8.10pm police were called to Frobisher Road following reports of youths fighting.
When officers attended the fight had been broken up by members of the public. As officers tried to arrest one of the youths he tried to escape and they were required to use their CS spray.
One member of the public, a local man, was affected by the use of the CS spray and was taken to hospital for treatment. He was released from hospital later that evening.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the disturbance, or who has any further information on this incident, to contact police on 0161 856 4556 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Two 16 year old boys, both from Littleborough were arrested on suspicion of affray and public order offences . They have been bailed until February 2007 pending further enquiries.
