Diabetes brought to the stage

All Shook Up Diabetes play

‘All Shook Up’ is a modern take on life as a patient coming to terms with having diabetes.

The production, which has been funded by the Department of Health, is designed to raise public awareness of type 2 diabetes, and will allow health professionals to give information on prevention and on managing the disease.

Frank, a 45 year old lorry driver by day, Elvis impersonator by night, brings the reality of living with a long term condition to the stage in a one act play.

Following each performance audience members will have an opportunity to question the characters.

Health professionals will be on hand to provide information on diabetes and discuss issues and concerns with the members of the audience.
