Deeplish Primary School
Our year 5 children enjoyed an afternoon of singing and dancing at Springhill High School on Monday when they were invited to watch a performance of “Famed.” Children from all year groups at Springhill took part and we would like to thank the high school for the invitation and for providing the transport.
Mrs Vickers’ class were excellent hosts to their friends from the Holy Rosary School in Liverpool when they visited this week. The children enjoyed drama, planting flowers and had an informative visit to the local Neeli Mosque. We would like to thank School Governor Mhd Saqib for helping to arrange the visit to the mosque. Thank you children for, yet again, being excellent ambassadors for Deeplish School.
Deeplish School is now gearing up for its most exciting event ever. This is the rebuild and refurbishment of the school starting in September. Governors decided that to minimise disruption to children’s learning we would stay in temporary accommodation on-site whilst the works are being carried out. It is going to be a long process but will be worth it in the end.
Attendance Awards this week went to Mrs Taylor’s and Miss Regan/Miss Gurney’s classes. Early birds were Mrs Akhtar’s and Mrs Vickers’ classes. Saadiqhah and Sahl won the prize draw for the week’s full attendance. Well done!
