Get in the running
Date published: 08 February 2010
National deafness and hearing loss charity RNID is appealing for people from the Borough to sign up for this year’s Great Manchester Run and raise vital funds for deaf and hard of hearing people.
The charity is urging people to join the RNID Run Team and apply for one of RNID’s guaranteed places at Manchester’s famous 10k run, which takes place on Saturday 16 May 2010.
RNID Events and Community Fundraising Manager, Caroline Jupe said: “If you’re ready to get running and want to raise vital funds for charity as well as have a great time, then sign up the RNID Run Team whilst you can.
“Not only will you be raising money to help RNID work towards finding solutions for hearing loss and promoting hearing heath, but you’ll be bowled over by the fantastic fun of the country’s fastest growing running event!”
Money raised by fundraisers pounding the 10km route around Manchester will go towards RNID’s services, which provide essential support for deaf and hard of hearing people.
And, if you have already secured your own place directly through the event organisers you can still join the RNID Run Team and help raise vital funds for deaf and hard of hearing people.
