Child falls on gas fire

A young girl from the Spotland area has been treated at Rochdale Infirmary after falling onto a gas fire.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 5.36pm on Tuesday 2 February we received a call from the ambulance service with a report of a young child who had tripped and fallen onto a gas fire within a domestic property.
"Fire Crews from Rochdale attended the house on Emma Street, Spotland with paramedics. The girl was quickly taken to Rochdale infirmary by ambulance suffering from burns as a result of the fall."
