School texting facility teachers to parents
Please make sure we have up to two, up-to-date mobile phone numbers as contacts in order that school text messages are received by your selves. I hope that you find this new texting facility helpful. I think it has been invaluable with the emergency school closures in particular. If you have provided us with a mobile number then you should receive official texts from school.

Haiti appeal
Many thanks for your generosity to the Haiti appeal fund which we held last week at school. The children enjoyed the raffle and the cake sale. The total raised came to £298.26 which has been sent directly to CAFOD for relief work in Haiti.

Parent questionnaire results Your responses have now been collated and I will send out early next week the outcomes from the parents’ survey. Your views will all be considered and fed back into school development.

Magistrate Talk for Year 6 The talk for year 6 from two Magistrates on issues of Citizenship will now take place on Tuesday 9th February. Apologies for having to rearrange this event but last time it was the same day as our power all went off.

After school Clubs
Our after school clubs are bow all back to normal and we have been especially pleased to welcome every week a group of children form Deeplish Primary school who have been joining us for a fun and games club on Tuesday evenings. Congratulations to Deeplish children for excellent participation and behaviour. We look forward to many more joint events.

Demolition of The Canteen
The old canteen on Ann Street will be demolished next week. We would like to advise all parents to take extra care whilst taking children to and from school.

Statement of Belief
Our statement of belief for this week is ‘I co-operate with others in work and play’
