Hopwood Hall student Renata Caso has been named the 'Most Improved Apprentice'.
The Rotary Clubs of Rochdale and Rochdale East attended Hopwood Hall College last month to present a new award, for the Most Improved Apprentice, a joint award from the two clubs.
Vice President of the Rochdale Club, John Cannell and President of the Rochdale East club, Ian Murray were invited onto the stage to present the award to Ms Caso, who is training to be a hairdresser. She works with her mother at 'Pepi's' hair dressing salon in Chadderton. Her tutor at Hopwood Hall says she is "very enthusiastic and self motivated".
Ms Caso was presented with a small shield and a certificate on the night.
President Elvet of the Rochdale Club and John Cannell, also took a trip to Chadderton to present Ms Caso with a cheque of £300.
Ms Caso's ambition is to complete her course and then become a tutor for training newcomers to the profession, before establishing her own business.
