Saint Cuthbert High School
This week’s theme was Relationships/Parables and the Enterprise capability was Determination.
Children from Our Lady and St Anselm’s RC Primary School came for their second Enterprise/Creative ICT session on Wednesday. They had prepared so well, that the radio advertisements they created were excellent! Thank you for all your hard work.
"You have to be in to win" – the form with best attendance (99.3%) was 7.1. Well Done to everyone in 7.1. Congratulations also to Tara Connolly 7.4 this week’s attendance challenge winner.
The theme for year 7 assembly was "Using your talents" and the following pupils displayed their talents to their year group: Aaron Hartnell Booth (form 7.10) displayed his musical talent by playing a beautiful clarinet solo; Saoirse Hartley (form 7.8) showed us her dancing talent by performing a typical Irish dance routine; Harriet Haigh (form 7.5) has a talent for writing and read out a lovely piece of work. Well done to you all, you performed fantastically!
Rochdale FC will be in school, working with all students in their PE lessons this week. Homework club is available everyday in L3 with Mrs Whitmore and Mrs Rushton
Our second Business Breakfast will take place on Friday 5 January at 9am with refreshments available from 8.30am. Members of our local community are invited to join together to identify the needs and strengths of members of our wider community. If you would like to be involved in this initiative, please contact Miss Taylor at school.
The facilities in our Partnership Learning Centre are available for parents and for any Parish Groups who wish to produce resources for church or develop their own learning. Please speak to Louise Moore for details (01706 647761).

Won on penalties 4-2 vs. South Hunsley - the boys have now made it down to the last 16 in the country.
Yr 7 & Yr 9 boys 5-aside Football
Qualify for the final of the Gtr Manchester 5-aside tournament.
Girls football U14s
A team: Beat SPring Hill 1-0
B team: Beat Beech House 1-0
Yr 7 & 8 Indoor AthleticsRochdale Champions, they now go through to represent Rochdale in the Greater Manchester Indoor Finals at Wright Robinson Sports College next Tues.
