The school production “Famed" will be on Tuesday 2 February and Wednesday 3 February . Tickets are on sale now Adults £2 and Child/OAP £1.50. If you wish to pay on the door there will be an extra 50p charge. Ask about Group Discount!

Springhill High School are going "All Romantic" for Valentines Day. The English department are running two competitions in conjunction with each other, for pupils and staff.

The first competition: "Name the Poet" find and read the poems printed on heart shaped poster placed throughout the school and name the poet. Prize winner receives £10
The second competition : "Write a Love Poem" Write your own love poem, prizes are £10 for best three poems. Both competitions close on 12 February 2010. Good luck to all.

Recently the girls’ netball teams were in action against Matthew Moss. All teams continue to improve with every game they play. All year teams have shown they now can move the ball quickly and accurately across the court which has immensely improved their game. ‘Players of the Match’ were Chanelle Catlow from the year 8 and Umrana Farhak from the year 9 team.

Year 8 boys and girls were involved in a recent Rochdale Indoor Athletics Competition, they competed in a number of running, jumping and throwing events. They were many great performances throughout the evening including the girls’ team of Vicky Stewart and Mamu Kapuku winning the 4 lap relay.

For the National Story Telling Week we will be holding story telling sessions in the library at lunch times commencing Monday 1 February.
