Man charged with sexual abuse

A man has been charged in connection with an investigation into historic sexual abuse against children.
David Ferron, 51, of Mills Hill Road, Middleton, has been charged with buggery, four counts of indecent assault on a boy aged under 14 and three counts of gross indecency with a child.
He will appear at Rochdale Magistrates' Court on 5 February.
The charges follow allegations of historic sexual abuse that took place at a scout group known as the Phoenix Rangers in Middleton between 1989 and 1994.
