Martin Hoyle was sentenced for trespass with intent to commit a sexual offence in 2006.
Police are hunting a convicted sex offender who has breached the terms of his licence.
It is thought that Martin Hoyle, 25, has connections in the Rochdale area.
He was released from prison on 4 November 2009 and was staying at a bail hostel in Stockport.
He failed to return to the hostel on 14 January 2010, which is in breach of the conditions of his licence, and he has been recalled to prison.
Hoyle was convicted of trespass with intent to commit a sexual offence in February 2007 and sentenced to four years in prison.
Anyone with information is asked to call Greater Manchester Police on 0161 872 5050 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 1111.
