Healey Primary School
A huge thank you to all the Year 1 parents who contributed to ‘Adopt a Polar Bear’ day last Friday. The children had a wonderful day learning about the Arctic and are now the proud ‘parents’ of their own polar bear. Fortunately the polar bear will be staying in its natural habitat and not taking up residence in the corner of the classroom.
Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last Friday:
- Reception: Hasan Majid
- Year 1: Lauren Taylor
- Year 2: Ben Johnson
- Year 3: Jasmine Hill-Metcalfe
- Year 5: Christopher Harrop
- Year 6: Reece Hansen
The Indian Dance experience for Key Stage 2 was brilliant, we had Bhangra and Gumar for the morning; the children were exhausted!
On Monday Year 5 children will be walking down to Falinge to the CLC. They will be working on the new VLE for the school, Year 4 will be going down the following Monday. On Thursday Year 6 will be walking down to Falinge school for a Science lesson. The children will return in time for the end of school.
On Friday the whole school will be taking part in a taster karate session. There will then be opportunity for children to take up after school karate lessons for a few weeks.
Please keep an eye out for Parents Evenings invitations which will be issued shortly. We will be holding the Spring Term parents Evenings on Tuesday and Wednesday of the week immediately after half term.
