A627 due to re-open following collision

The A627 motorway is due to re-open shortly after a multi-vehicle accident this morning.
At least 10 vehicles were involved in the main collision on the motorway, just after 8am on this morning (Friday 15 January) and some minor collisions took place behind.
Two of the seven people injured are believed to have more serious injuries. A 46-year-old man suffered a broken leg and a 39-year-old woman suffered head and chest injuries.
The scene is now being managed by the Highways Agency.
Witnesses to the collision should call traffic police on 0161 856 1550.
