Youngsters enjoy parents' play at children's centre

Farmer Christmas
The Parents Forum at Newbold Sure Start Children’s Centre performed a play they had written themselves just before Christmas as a special treat for children and parents at the centre on Moss Street.
The play, ‘Farmer Christmas’, was a story of a farmer and his animals on Christmas Eve. The farmer lost his sleigh but with the help of his animals managed to find it and give gifts to the children.
Each child also received a copy of the story with space on each page to write and draw pictures.
The parents worked hard in the weeks leading up to Christmas to remember their lines and make their own costumes and masks.
