Bin collections suspended
Date published: 05 January 2010
All bin collections in the Rochdale borough have been suspended today (Tuesday 5 January) due to the severe weather conditions.
At present, residents are asked to leave their refuse bins out if they have not been collected.
If bin collections do take place later in the week, the council will continue to attempt to collect refuse bins that have not been collected from last week and bins due for collection this week as per the normal collection schedule.
Residents are asked to refer to bin collection calendars to check which bin to put out.
Whilst bin collections have been suspended, refuse collection crews have been deployed to shovel snow across the borough today as opposed to being sent home.
