What a busy week we had leading up to the Christmas break! Everyone enjoyed their Christmas party days during which noisy games were played, videos were watched and extra food and drinks were provided. Father Christmas even took time out of his busy schedule to put in an appearance and handed out presents to our younger children.

Well done Pat and our excellent kitchen team who produced the first ever Christmas dinner cooked on site. Thank you! On Christmas dinner day school also said a big thank you and gave a present to our office staff, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, lunchtime supervisors and volunteers for all their hard work during the year.

The drama club produced an excellent performance of 'Annie' for school and parents. Ms Wilde and the children had been working really hard and it showed – well done. A new drama club will be starting in January and places are limited, strictly on a first come, first served basis. School is looking forward to the next production.

On Friday afternoon children were 'treated' to a performance of Snow White and the Six Dwarfs (there were originally seven but one fell ill) acted by school staff. Staff were quite nervous as this had not been rehearsed but the children thought it was great. A resounding success! Thank you for all the efforts made.

School staff, parents and carers should be aware that from January there will be a team of Police Officers in the district handing out on the spot fines for traffic violations. Please be careful. If you are not doing anything wrong you have nothing to fear. If you are, you have been warned!
