Using doorstep lenders and loan sharks is a bad idea when there is a cheaper alternative option available.
Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) is working in partnership with GM Moneyline to offer its tenants access to a better alternative of getting affordable credit.
Many tenants may need financial help from time to time, but get turned away from traditional banks.
GM Moneyline is a Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI) with a friendly local lending policy, offering loans to people who find it difficult to get credit from elsewhere. They are licensed by the Office of Fair Trading, under the Consumer Credit Act and are accountable to its members. It is a community business, which is run on a not for profit basis.
GM Moneyline will only lend an amount they believe you can actually afford to repay.
