More snow!
Date published: 02 January 2010
Just when it seemed the snow had gone and the roads were back to normal Rochdale has seen another heavy snowfall today (Saturday 2 January 2010).
The Met Office is advising people to be prepared.
It is expected that wintry showers will spread across the North West today with expected snow fall of 2 to 5 cm with perhaps 8 to 10 cm over high ground in some areas.
The minimum temperature for today is expected to be -4 and tomorrow (Sunday 3 January 2010) temperatures are expected to fall to -7.
Widespread icy stretches are expected to form on untreated roads.
The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.
