Golden grin award being presented to Littleborough Children’s Centre
It’s all smiles at Littleborough Children’s Centre this week as they earn a 'Golden Grin' award for the second year running.
Andrew Forest, Early Years Nutritionist presented the award to the centre and congratulated parents, carers, children and staff on their efforts.
The award recognises the achievements of childcare providers that take positive action to prevent tooth decay and improve nutrition in children.
Katie Hoyle, a senior early years worker said: “I’m very pleased that we’ve got the gold award for the second time. We’ve worked hard to encourage children and their families to choose sugar free snacks and drinks and the children are very happy to have them too. Visits from the dental health team help to remind us all of the effect that sugar has on teeth and to try and follow a healthier lifestyle."
