Many congratulations to the cast of Bugsy Malone for their fantastic performances last week. The show was watched by more than 600 people and everyone commented on how talented and committed the whole cast were. Thank you to all the staff who have given up months of their free time to make this wonderful annual event possible.

The Sixth Form annual review also took place on Tuesday, with a staff pantomime, songs and dances to raise money for next year’s Lourdes visit.

"You have to be in to win" Attendance Challenge Winner for this week is Justyna Korzeniewska, form 7.7. Well done also to Mr Lockett’s form 7.5 with a fantastic weekly attendance of 100%.

A big thank you to Mr Farrell and his year 7 teaching groups for their presentation in assembly on the history of St Cuthbert and their special rendition of the Lord’s prayer which was recited in Latin.

Our first ever Business Breakfast took place on Wednesday morning with fifteen members of our local community joining to complete a community audit and to identify the needs and strengths of members of our wider community. The second meeting will take place in the new year, when we will begin to form an action plan for the coming year.

More than thirty parents and children attended an introductory meeting in our Partnership Learning Centre on Tuesday evening to gather ideas for a Polish Complementary School. Ms Zuranska has taken everyone’s ideas away and will introduce plans for extra-curricular work in the new year.

The facilities in our Partnership Learning Centre are available for parents and for any Parish Groups who wish to produce resources for church or develop their own learning. Please speak to Louise Moore for details (01706 647761).

Would any parent collecting a child during the school day please report to reception where pupils will wait. Due to health and safety reasons, pupils must not wait at the gate to be collected. Thank you for your support in this matter.
