School Closure
A reminder that school closes for the Christmas break on Friday 18 December at 1.10pm. We reopen on Monday 4 January at the usual time. We would like to wish everyone a happy and relaxing break.

Christmas Festivities at Oulder Hill
On the last day of term students are being treated to some fun festivities as a reward for all their hard work and good behaviour this term. In addition to having a fun time together in form groups, students will get to sample the very best talent Oulder Hill has to offer in the form of bands and singing and dancing acts. As is now customary on these occasions members of staff will also make star appearances.

6th Form Mock exams
Please note that Year 12 and 13 students will have their mock exams on the first week back after the Christmas break. We appreciate all the support given by parents/carers to our students at this very important time in their school life.

Clothes Show Live
Year 10 and 11 students studying Textiles attended the clothes show last week as part of their course. The trip was a real success and the pupils were extremely well behaved and represented the school in an excellent fashion.

Football
The Year 10 boys football team played against Wardle last Wednesday night and won 6-0. The team played very well and their effort was excellent. They have now played four matches, winning three and drawing one. This means they will finish at the top of the mini league and go through to play in the play-offs after Christmas. Congratulations to Lewis Neal, Liam Tarpey, Matty Green, Dom Welsby, Elliot Wild, Sam Clayton, Ross Brown, Ben Sosongchan, Josh Marsden, Ben Johnson, Liam Tarpey, Josh Pope, Samad Mohammed, Chris Johnson, Corey Best, Spencer Rathbone, Austin Orton, James Taylor and Ryan Slack.

Girls’ Football
The Year 7 girls’ football team played three league matches last week at Matthew Moss. They tried really hard and played well but unfortunately didn’t win any games. Well done for trying so hard and being a credit to the school - better luck next time. The team in full was: Frankie Bagshaw (Captain), Lucy Moore, Demi Hogarth, Emma Pendlebury, Laraib Afsal, Danielle Beasley.
