Revd Dr Daniel Mwailu, the new minister for Bamford & Norden United Reformed Churches.

With assistance from our North West Synod Moderator Revd Richard Church, the Elders at Bamford Chapel are happy to announce that Revd Dr Daniel Mwailu will be our Minister, on a short term appointment until 31 August 2010.

The Methodist church have been kind enough at agree to Daniel being appointed until his next term of ministry within the Methodist church commences in September 2010 and we are looking forward to the assistance which he will be able to offer.

He is an experienced minister, coming to the UK from Kenya over 30 years ago and latterly served in Blackpool and Littleborough. His wife Margaret is also a Methodist minister in Manchester and they have two sons, Jonathon who lives in Derby and Andrew who is in the sixth form at Crompton House School.

Our search for a long term appointment will continue but meanwhile Daniel will lead our worship and exercise pastoral oversight at both Bamford and Norden United Reformed Churches.

The congregations are very much looking forward to having Daniel lead us for the next 9 months.

Daniel said he was looking forward to this opportunity and being able to gain the experience of helping within another denomination.
