Two police officers swapped their uniforms for Santa costumes in a fun run to raise money for Christies cancer charity.
Sergeant Joanne Reid and schools based officer PC Mark Shore, both from Pennine Neighbourhood Policing Team, took part in Wardle High’s second annual Santa fun run.
The mile long race saw the officers leave from Wardle High School at Birch Road to Ramsden Road in Littleborough before returning to the school where they completed a lap of the sports pitch.
Sergeant Reid said: “A few minutes into the run I realised that I can no longer compete with teenagers in a race but it was for a great cause and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
“I'm looking forward to running again next year when I’m hoping to be much fitter.”
The event helped the officers raise £100 for the charity and the money is still being collected.
