Two charged with car thefts

Two men have been charged following a spate of thefts from cars.
Steven Campbell, 18, of no fixed abode, has been charged with burglary, two counts of theft from a motor vehicle and asked for a further 25 thefts from motor vehicles to be taken into consideration.
Martin Davies, 19, of Mardyke, Rochdale, is charged with arson, one count of theft from a motor vehicle and asked for a further 26 thefts from motor vehicles to be taken into consideration.
They are due before Rochdale Magistrates' Court today (Monday 14 December).
Their charges follow a joint operation by response teams and Rochdale's Volume Crime Team following a series of thefts from cars in the Rochdale area.
