It's another Christmas cracker
Date published: 14 December 2009
Rochdale Council’s Music Service hosted its annual Christmas Cracker concert at the Gracie Fields Theatre, with over 700 school children from 40 primary schools sharing the stage with 13 bands and five choirs.
The musical event was presented over three concerts to a total audience of 2000 people and each concert ended with the traditional on stage snowball fight.
Richard Charles, Head of Music at Rochdale Council, said: “I would like to congratulate everyone involved in all three of the concerts. I am extremely grateful to the small army of tireless volunteers that help out in hundreds of different ways in order to contribute to the success of events such as this.
“It was fantastic to see so many people being able to share in this joyous day of music making.”
