Next week the children will be celebrating Christmas with their parties. Each class has their own arrangements so check bags, coat pockets etc for details of what needs to be done. All parties take place during the normal school day.

Music tuition is suspended next week due to parties. Please can all parents check that music tuition bills are paid up to date. Music lessons will resume in the New Year.

Tuesday: Reception and Year 1 and 2 party.

In the afternoon the choir children are walking down to Fieldhouse Nursing Home to perform a Christmas Carol Concert for the residents.

Wednesday: Year 3 and 4 party.

Thursday: Year 5 and 6 have their Christmas Disco.

The term ends with a Carol Service which the Year 5 and 6 children are performing. The Carol Service begins at 2.00pm and everyone is welcome.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last Friday. The presentation was made by Chris Taylor, sustainability officer for Rochdale Council who will be spending a lot of time in school in the New Year to try and reduce the traffic congestion before and after school.

Attendance is still suffering from the coughs and sneezes. The highest class was Year 2 with over 97%.

Parents should have received by Friday an up to date Assessment, Attendance and Behaviour Summary for this term. If you have not received the report sheet please contact school.

Next week is the last week of the Autumn Term, school closes on Friday at the normal time and re-opens on Tuesday 5 January.
