School Closure
A reminder that school closes for the Christmas break on Friday 18 December at 1.10pm. We re-open on Monday 4 January at the usual time. We would like to wish everyone a happy and relaxing break.

Grow and Green
Thank you to everyone who sent in Morrisons vouchers to help with equipment for our sensory garden. Our order has now been sent off and we are looking forward to a beautiful garden in spring.

Science Trip to Manchester Museum
On Tuesday last week 30 Year 8 students went to Manchester Science Museum to take part in a workshop on the techniques of mummification. The day was enjoyed by all and no-one came back wrapped in bandages!

Year 7 Netball Team
Congratulations to our Year 7 netball team who played Falinge on Monday and won 31-0. The team members were: Ellie Jones, Ella Storto, Danielle Williams, Melissa Chambers, Aleena Ali, Sanaa Al-Hassani, Shannon Buckley, Shanice Khan, Keira Birch and Stacey Whitehead.

Year 10 Basketball Team
Congratulations to our Year 10 Basketball team who played North Chadderton last week in the English Schools Cup Competition and won 53–24. They are now second in their group and should qualify for the latter stages of the competition. Man of the match was Josh Marsden.

During the course of the week they also played Failsworth and won by a massive 62–22. Top scorers were Mathew Green and Kieran Wilson with 11 baskets each. Man of the match was Mathew Green.
