Boy injured in smash

A five-year-old boy was taken to hospital after he was hit by a van in Tweedale Street yesterday morning (Monday 7 December).
The boy was taken to Rochdale Infirmary after suffering head injuries after he was involved in the collision at around 8.50am.
Police closed part of Tweedale Street while they investigated the incident.
